Insurance

Your insurance most likely will cover our visits.

Did you know many health insurance companies cover nutritional counseling at no cost to you? This is often the case EVEN if you don’t have an actual diagnosis but still want nutrition counseling for prevention of a disease.

You pay good money for your insurance so be sure you’re taking advantage of all of your benefits.
I’m in-network with the following insurance companies: Cigna, United HealthCare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana and Medicare.

INSURANCE FAQ

  • What happens if you don’t participate with my insurance?

  • How much is a visit with you?

No problemo! I can provide you with a Superbill and/or an itemized invoice you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Reimbursement is based on your policy’s standards; so, I suggest calling to verify your benefits prior to our session if I am not in-network. If I’m not, please ask me about cash-pay rates.

If I am in-network with your insurance, you should have no out-of-pocket costs.
However, for most insurance companies I’m considered a specialist; so, the co-pay is applicable and payable at time of service. If you have a co-pay it is usually printed on the front of your insurance card, too.
With that said, I will not charge a co-pay unless your Explanation of Benefits (EOB) states it is your responsibility. You and I both receive an EOB so you’ll be well aware before I charge your card on file.
If I am not in-network with your insurance, the cash-pay rate is $130/hour.
